Mowing
Since I was a preteen during these years and without a mode of transportation, I would mow neighborhood yards within walking distance of my house. On Saturdays my dad would drive me and my brother out to the country to push mow about 2 acres.

Mike Morrison - Owner
Mike Morrison has been enjoying Landscaping/Mowing since he was a little boy. At age 11, his goal was to make extra money to purchase school clothes. He worked for his Grandfather at Blue Star Nursery until age 16. After college graduation, he started working for the State of Kentucky, but soon realized his love for the outdoors and the land was too ingrained to just sit an office desk. So he started up a little mowing business and has been mowing for over 30 years now.
Mike is also a very strong, dependable, caring, and compassionate person. His love of God and people drives his work ethic and need to be helpful.
Mike is a faithful member of Bedford Acres Christian Church.

Mike's History
Blue Star Nursery and Mowing after work
As I aged, my grandfather, who owned Blue Star Nursery, helped to instill a stellar work ethic in me by instruction of many life skills. Among those skills was customer service, landscaping, planting, plant identification, and how to properly trim trees and bushes. Grandfather believed in hard work, dedication to excellence, and lifelong learning. After a full day of work and instruction, I would mow yards, continuing the tradition of a stellar work ethic.
Odd Jobs and Mowing
Did the teenager thing, which meant needing more money, so I hit the fast food circuit, learned how to build houses, additions and roofing, various odd jobs, even security guard and yet still mowed and landscaped for customers until I went to college.
College
I attended Union College, graduating in 1990, keeping my employment to various odd jobs in the summer.
Worked for the State of Kentucky and Mowed Yards
Started my career with the State of Kentucky and picked up a few mowing jobs....and over the course of the years the business grew. I have recently retired from the State of Kentucky and working for the Kentucky State Police, and am ready to concentrate exclusively on Morrison's Handy Man and Lawn Service. I am fully insured and licensed with the State of Kentucky and with the City of Paris.
